Certificate III in Local Govt Operational Works
The Certificate III in Local Government (Operational Works) reflects the role of employees in Local Government who undertake a prescribed range of functions involving known routines and procedures and who take some responsibility for the quality outcomes.
Electives should reflect the responsibilities of the individual and the job skills required for effective performance .
Where a free choice of electives is available these may be drawn from this or other Training Packages to reflect the particular work context or career plans of the individual.
A total of 14 units are required to achieve the award of Certificate II in Local Government (Operational Works) , 5 of which are mandatory core units, 4 specialist operational works units and 5 are the candidates choice electives.

In addition , choose five electives: from any section of the Local Government Training Package or from any other endorsed Training Package, while ensuring the integrity of the AQF level.
