Certificate IV in Local Government Administration

The Certificate IV in Local Government reflects the role of employees in Local Government who   perform tasks involving a broad range of skilled applications including the requirement to evaluate and analyse current practices, develop new criteria and procedures for performing current      practices and provide some leadership and guidance to others in the application of planning of the skills.

Electives should reflect the responsibilities of the individual and the job skills required for effective performance.

Where a free choice of electives is available these may be drawn from this or other Training Packages to reflect the particular work context or career plans of the individual.  

A total of 12 units are required to achieve the award of Certificate IV in Local Government , 4 of which are mandatory core units and 8 are the candidates choice electives.
