Conwal & Associates deliver on and off-the-job training to trainees.
As a trainee you will be asigned a course Teacher that will work with you and your employer to help develop a training plan, deliver your training, assess your achievement of skills, and issue you with a qualification on successful completion of your traineeship.
Your study materials will consist of:

- Online Learning Activities
- Workbooks
Conwal Virtual Learning Environment
The Conwal & Associates Virtual Learning Environment
area will let you access the resources and assessment materials in your
course. It will also give you access to your student Portfolio and results.
Your training coordinator will supply you with an online instruction booklet
and your Student ID which you will need to be able to access the virtual
learning environment.
Assessments
At least three forms of assessment are required to verify competency, these may include:
- observation
- demonstration
- questioning and discussion
- third party report
- written assessment tasks
- portfolio of work samples
Once you have completed the assessment for each unit you can download the assessment coversheet, complete, sign and add a comment. This comment is important and is used as further evidence to support your assessment. This must be forwarded to your course co-ordinator.
Training Contract
It is important that you familiarise yourself with all of the requirements associated with your Training Contract. This information is provided to trainees prior to and upon enrolment in the form of hard copy and electronic copy.

Training Record
At the commencement of you studies you will be provided with a Training Record. The Training Record will assist you in monitoring your study progress. As you progress through you studies, Training Record updates will be provided on a three monthly basis (this time frame may vary depending upon trainee’s completions/participation)via email, fax, telephone or which ever is the preferred medium of the trainee.
The training record will be in the form of the assessment record which is produced from the Student Database via a specific qreport.
Training Plan
Upon enrolment into your traineeship your Teacher and employer will assist you in selecting the appropriate units of competence for your studies. Upon receipt of your Training Plan you and your supervisor must sign the relevant sections alongside the RTO's signature and return a copy to Conwal & Associates for record retention.
The training plan will remain as a working document that will be reviewed at regular intervals. For example, you may wish to change a unit of competency.
The training plan will detail information such as, your details, qualification, units of competency, dates and duration of training, location, and trainer’s signature.
In addition to the training plan, you will be provided with a Delivery and Assessment plan detailing methods of assessment. Please refer to your student information resource CD or the interactive server for this document.
Completion of Traineeship
Upon completion of your traineeship you will need to ensure you have completed:
- Your Training Record (This will be returned to you after examination)
- An Agreement Completion (This will be forwarded to you at the completion stage)
Once you have completed and returned these forms to the Student Support Officer you will be issued with your qualification.
